NIGEL CRASKE
SENIOR PARTNER
Nigel Craske
Nigel is the firm’s senior partner and partner responsible for our Gorleston office. He studied for his Law Degree at Liverpool University and undertook his training with a Norwich firm before qualifying as a solicitor in 1986. He joined Lucas & Wyllys in 1998 and has been a partner since that time. He heads up Wills, Probate/Estate Administration, Trusts & Powers of Attorney Department and specialises in these areas of work. Nigel is the firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

AMY CHURCH
MANAGING PARTNER
Amy Church
Amy is our Managing Partner and heads up the firm’s Conveyancing Department. Amy is the firm’s Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration. She has been a partner since 2013.
Amy studied for her law degree at De Montfort University Leicester and undertook her training locally before qualifying as a solicitor in 2009, at which time she joined the firm.
Amy is keen to keep up with the latest legal technology and, together with the office manager Robert Kemp, has considerably upgraded the firm’s technology over the past 3 years. She also regularly takes part in webinars and events as a guest speaker, discussing her love of legal technology.
She is based at our Blofield office and specialises in all aspects of residential and commercial property . Amy is the Senior Responsible Officer for the firm’s Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme membership and the firm’s Money Laundering Compliance Office.
Amy is one of the firm’s Mental Health First Aiders.
Amy can assist you with residential property matters including:

LINDA BRADY

Linda Brady
Linda is the firm’s Practice Manager. Linda has extensive knowledge of accounts, including the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

ROBERT KEMP
OFFICE MANAGER
Robert Kemp
Robert joined the firm in 2007 as an office junior. Robert has successfully progressed through a number of roles within the firm and has been the Great Yarmouth Office Manager since 2016. Robert is a member of the firm’s Management Board.
Robert is responsible for the IT of the firm. Robert is keen to keep up with the latest legal technology and, together with the managing partner Amy Church, has considerably upgraded the firm’s technology over the past 3 years. Robert is responsible for the firm achieving the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.

CANDICE BARFIELD
PARTNER
Candice Barfield
Candice studied for her Law Degree at the University of Kent and undertook her training locally before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2009. Candice joined the firm’s family department in 2016 and is based at our Great Yarmouth office. She became a Partner is 2020 and heads up our family department.
Candice offers fixed fee initial appointments and fixed fee divorces. Legal aid is available for some matters. Candice is based at our Great Yarmouth office however she also offers appointments at our Gorleston office.

CONSULTANT
Emma Benest
Emma studied for her Law Degree at Reading University and undertook her training locally before qualifying as a Solicitor in 1992. She joined the firm in 1999 and has recently retired from the partnership but continues as a consultant with the firm and specialises in child care work. She is based at our Great Yarmouth office and is an experienced member of the Law Society Children Panel.

LAUREN POLL
TRAINEE LEGAL EXECUTIVE
Lauren Poll
Lauren is a trainee legal executive in our residential property team.
Lauren joined the firm in May 2019 having gained substantial residential conveyancing knowledge at a local firm. Lauren has almost completed her CILEx qualification, with one exam to go, and will soon be a Chartered Legal Executive.
She works from our Great Yarmouth office and specialises in all aspects of residential property.
Lauren is one of the firm’s Mental Health First Aiders.

Serena Ely
Serena Ely joined the Wills and Probate department in 2020 having gained significant experience at a firm in Suffolk. Serena is a Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals.
Serena was the winner of Will Writing Paralegal of the Year at the National Paralegal Awards 2023.
Serena is one of the firm’s Mental Health First Aiders.

JULIE GARROD

Julie Garrod
Julie joined Lucas & Wyllys in November 2021 as a Paralegal having previously worked for other local law firms for over 20 years.
While working and raising a young family, Julie studied and qualified as a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in July 2016. Julie is a Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals.
Julie is based in our Great Yarmouth office and deals with freehold and leasehold sales and purchases remortgages and transfers of equity. She prides herself on delivering a professional but friendly approach to her work and endeavours to take the stress out of moving home.
Julie was awarded highly commended in the Best Conveyancing Paralegal category at the National Paralegal Awards 2023.
