Should I make a Will?

It is advisable that everyone over the age of 18 years old has a Will in place. For many people, however, making a Will is a decision that is pushed back until they are older. This is risky as often it is left too late and loved ones find themselves burdened with resolving complex issues relating to property and personal affairs of people who did not have a valid Will.

Download our handy checklist to help you with the areas you need to consider.

Making a Will enables you to:

  • Ensure that your property and possessions are inherited by the people you choose
  • Appoint Executors to deal with your affairs
  • Appoint guardians to care for your children and create trusts for them
  • Possibly reduce Inheritance tax on your death
  • Have a chance to discuss with our professional lawyers how you wish for your possessions to be dealt with

Our experienced lawyers are here to help you with a range of issues, including:

  • Making a simple single Will
  • Making mirror Wills for a couple
  • Making complex Wills
  • Amending existing Wills
  • Advising you on the contents of a Will
  • Preparing Side Letters and giving you advice when family circumstances are not ideal
  • Severance of Property Ownership following the execution of joint Wills
